The law of Moses, given to the Israelites at the birth of their life as a nation, can be viewed as irrelevant by Christians or even strange. However, it was a critical step in God’s plan of providing salvation for all people. Though it provided Israel with religious instruction and parameters to order their society, there are elements within the law that reveal much about God and holy living before him. It also points to the coming Messiah who would be the Savior and guide for all.
