This study explores the most comprehensive of all the books of prophecy in the Old Testament. Isaiah was a court historian among the kings of Judah and his work spanned sixty years. His prophecy contains messages of judgment on Israel, Judah, Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, and other nations. Though he delivered sharp rebukes to God’s people, he paints eloquent word pictures of a day when the faithful will be delivered and know the riches of God’s salvation. That ultimate salvation would come through God’s suffering servant, the Messiah.
